Today we can see the students in Ararat Community College. Long time no see. The students on both sides had a debate about capital punishment. We enjoyed the videoconference.Comments for the debate about capital punishment
Agreements with capital punishment
A girl: I was very surprised to listen to English spoken by the students in Australia. I could not understand their English at all because it was spoken too fast. So I want to be a good speaker of English when I grow up. I like this type of lesson.
I think we need the capital punishment. If we don't have such punishment, the same murder will occur. If someone kill someone, he or she should get a death sentence, I think.
A boy: The criminal who killed someone may kill someone again after getting out from a jail. So we should hang the criminal who killed someone.
A boy: I think the family whose member was killed will be sad. So we need capital punishment.
Disagreements with capital punishment
A girl: The Japanese sides told that we need capital punishment for the murders. But the Australia sides told about non-guilty 75 people who got capital punishment. I think it is important to reduce the murders.
A girl: It is natural for the murders to be punished by capital punishment. But we have to be careful not to misjudge the capital punishment as the Australian side said.

Hyakunin Isshu, which is a kind of a traditional Japanese card gemes. 100 traditional Japanese poems are witten in the cards. Literally, "100 poets 1 poem" and correspond to a selection of the 100 most famous Japanese poets with 1 waka (31 syllable Japanese poem) each.
